Engines are made up of many accessories that highly contribute to the safety of the engine, and therefore the safety of the plane and its’ passengers. When an aircraft has an issue, it is not automatically the entire engine that needs replacing, but most likely one of its’ accessories. When the accessory is the only issue, that is good news, it is obviously a lot cheaper than replacing a whole engine.

During the France airshow held in Marignane in June, Airbus has launched their newest model for their newest aircraft. They are in the process of creating a more environment friendly aircraft which is a part of the “Clean Shy 2 European research programme.” The test model is said to be up and running by 2019 followed by its first departure the following year. Configured to reach speeds up to 400 km/h and equipped with new innovative technology.

Airbus has decided to include the 131-9A auxiliary power unit for its fleet of A320 aircraft. What used to be just a selectable option for airlines has now become standard equipment. It is said to be the gold standard for the A320 family. It is an extremely reliable unit with proven effectiveness. It also offers a huge fuel savings which is a big incentive in the industry.

Rolls-Royce has released news they will deliver around five hundred large engines this year. This will be an increase of 15% to some 355 in 2016. In the last year aerospace profit more than halved. RR has stated the underlying revenues for large engine supply at 1.6 billion with an increase of 2% and civil aerospace profit has jumped more than half to 367 billion.

Aerolease Aviation, a privately owned aircraft leasing company which specializes in converting and leasing used aircrafts, has recently announced in collaboration with Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation that the two companies have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to place an order for ten firm MRJ90 aircrafts, with the option for an additional ten MRJ90 aircrafts. Under this Letter of Intent, both companies will be working together in order to conclude a definitive agreement in the foreseeable future.
